How many of us have actually read the foundational documents that shape our nation?
I’ve done…okay. If I’m honest, I’ve read many, but have also fallen short on classics like the Federalist Papers. Perhaps you can relate.
For those, I’ve relied on summaries, secondary analyses, or distant memories from early in my career rather than directly digesting the core texts of American strategy.
If we want to be students of our nation and mildly interesting at a dinner party, we can’t afford to outsource our understanding of the American experiment. We need to go back to the primary sources.
This week we look at 20 foundational documents (most short reads) and develop a 30-day plan to get through some of them. Links and summaries included.
